2 CEU - Performing a complete urinalysis is an essential task of a veterinary technician and consists of four main parts: gross examination of the urine, the reagent test strip, the specific gravity and microscopic examination of the urine sediment. This 2-hour wet lab will begin with proper sample procurement and handling and then spend the majority of the time on the four components of analysis. We will use feline and canine samples for microscopic evaluation with a focus on differentiating structures commonly found in urine
