We're a new non-profit called the Feline Adoption & Rescue Society. We are
currently a small (but growing) foster home network for cats and kittens. We
have been approved by the Massachusetts Department of Agriculture (and
PetsMart) to open cat/kitten shelters in the Cambridge and Framingham
PetsMarts and will be doing this in the next couple of weeks.

We are looking for veterinary technicians interested in shelter medicine who
would be interested in helping us as volunteers with veterinary tasks. I listed
below the roles we hope to find a technician volunteers to help with.

Here are some roles we need a technician to help with:

1) Coordinating (or helping to coordinate) medical care of cats and kittens:
Keeping track of the veterinary care that is needed by our cats and kittens
such as vaccines, S/N, FeLV/FIV testing, de-worming, etc.

2) Supporting our foster homes when they have a sick cat or kitten: Offer
advice (such as how to administer meds if they are having difficulty, or when
they need to bring the cat/kitten in to see a veterinarian).

3) Intake processing for cats and kittens: Administering FVRCP vaccines,
microchipping, combo testing, treating for worms/fleas/ear-mites.
